The historic consensus was cemented during a high-profile bilateral meeting on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in Beijing. The Cambodian delegation was led by HE Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and included Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Peng Ponea, alongside Cambodia’s Ambassador to China, HE Dr. Soeung Rathchavy.
