Two world-class hotels, Sofitel and Novotel are scheduled to open in Sihanoukville in the fourth quarter of 2023, said Long Dimanche, deputy governor of Sihanoukville.
Dimanche recently met with the management of two of the world’s largest hotels to provide information, including a vision of the hotel and hospitality sector, as well as a master plan for the development of Sihanoukville into a special multi-purpose model province.
During the meeting, Dimanche met with the General Manager of Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeetra and the future General Manager of Novotel, in Sihanoukville.
The Deputy Governor stated that he wants to have a world-class hotel network to invest in Sihanoukville. He stressed that now is the most appropriate time due to the factors of peace, political stability, and macroeconomic stability in Cambodia.
Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration is always ready to cooperate and support all investors, both domestic and foreign, Dimanche said.
Sihanoukville is a province with beautiful beaches, rich in natural resources, and islands, nicknamed the “Star of the Southwest.” Tourism has made a significant contribution to the economic development of the province as a whole.
According to the Sihanoukville Provincial Department of Tourism, there are currently 80 hotels operating in Sihanoukville.
