The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has established the Aquaculture Promotion Cambodia Committee to facilitate the production and business activities of the Cambodian Aquaculturist Association (CAA), to increase production capacity for domestic supply and export.
Ministry secretary of state Has Sareth is helming the chairman seat.
The committee must coordinate the production and business activities of the CAA to increase the production capacity of domestic supply and export by discussing business production processes, challenges and guidelines for effective implementation.
According to the directive, the committee must promote research on feeding techniques, increase productivity, processing and marketing to ensure the wellbeing, prosperity and sustainability of the aquaculture sector in Cambodia, report about the progress and challenges in the implementation to the agriculture minister for review and decision.
